Peppermint Bark Cake

If you enjoy peppermint bark, you're going to love this cake.  You make the bark and add it to a prepared chocolate fudge cake.  Smart, easy and delish!

Directions

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Stir the chocolate in a double boiler set over hot water until the chocolate melts. Pour the chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet.Sprinkle 1 cup candy pieces evenly over the chocolate. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until the chocolate hardens.Break the hardened chocolate into wedge-shaped pieces.Press the broken chocolate pieces onto the sides of the thawed cake and sprinkle with the remaining candy pieces. Sprinkle the top with confectioners' sugar, if desired. Refrigerate the cake until ready to serve.
